Micromed Suppliers was recognized twice this year for outstanding performance in the Southeast Asia region, the company announced Friday.
In January, the company won “Highest Growth Award” and was again recently recognized for “Sales Excellence” at the Becton, Dickinson and Co. distributors conference held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on Nov. 25.
The Guam-based company has provided medical/surgical supplies and equipment to Guam and Micronesia for more than two decades.
"We are excited to accept these awards and are very grateful for all the support of our business partners," said Austin Terlaje, vice president of Micromed Suppliers.
Terlaje attended the conference last month.
"Our company has worked hard over the years to provide quality products from cutting-edge brands – like CR Bard, a recent acquisition of BD – for our local community,” Terlaje said.
“I would like to dedicate these awards to our late President Karri T. Perez. Her legacy continues to be a source of inspiration and key driver for our success."
Micromed was founded more than 20 years ago by Guam businessman Gerald S. A. Perez.
BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world and is advancing the world of health by improving medical discovery, diagnostics and the delivery of care.
