Maite Pay-Less removes construction fence

ALMOST?: While there's been no official word on the opening date of the new Maite Pay-Less Supermarket, contractors have removed the barrier between the parking lot and Route 8. There's been some delay on the opening, but many local shoppers are looking forward to the opening of the Pay-Less chain's hallmark store. It's a 45,660-square-foot facility, boasting 31,200 square feet of retail space, 8,060 square feet of dry storage space, and 6,400 square feet of freeze and chill storage, and 106 customer parking stalls. The store will have the typical supermarket finds, such as meat and vegetable sections, but it also will have an “eduKitchen” facility for cooking demonstrations and community classes. It will also have a bulk bin area for nuts and grains where customers are also able to grind fresh peanut or almond butter and an 8-foot dry-aged beef case. David Castro/The Guam Daily Post
