This month, the Westin Resort Guam will present its first Vietnamese buffet promotion: A Taste of Hanoi.
Led by executive chef Sean Jung, guest chefs Truong Thi San and Dinh Cong Nhat from the Sheraton Hanoi will prepare an array of authentic Vietnamese cuisine at Taste restaurant, featuring a Pho station with beef and chicken, and a Banh Mi corner with Vietnamese baguettes, pork belly, pork liver, tomatoes, carrots, five-spice powder and more.
Vietnamese cuisine is influenced by the Asian principle of five elements – metal, wood, fire, water and earth – and thus encompasses a combination of five fundamental tastes and creates a balance of the five taste senses of spicy, sour, bitter, salty and sweet, according to a release from the Westin.
A Taste of Hanoi at Taste runs from April 8 to 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The cost is $35 per adult and $17.50 per child ages 6 to 11, plus a 10 percent service charge.
