This letter is to publicly thank Navy police officer Tony Aguon for aiding me on Jan. 19 when fatigue overtook me while I was bicycling on Route 18, also called Port Authority Beach Road. On noticing my plight, Officer Aguon stopped, drove me back to my pickup and then followed me back to the bike. Then he loaded the bike into the pickup.
I sincerely welcomed his help. It's not the first time motorists, including Guam police officers, have offered roadside assistance when I've had a flat or other bicycle problems.
On behalf of all bike riders, I thank those motorists who have a share-the-road attitude and look out for us pedaling our two-wheelers along Guam's roads. We appreciate your thoughtfulness and assistance.
