12 students win scholarships

Twelve Guam Department of Education students are recipients of the Moda Ginos Partners-In-Education Scholarship.

The scholarship provides $1,000 to each public high school scholarship recipient attending either the University of Guam or Guam Community College, according to a news release. The scholarship aims to defray the cost of purchasing textbooks each semester, and is granted based on a combination of selective factors including grade-point average, leadership, citizenship and financial need.

The students who were awarded the Moda Ginos Partners-In-Education Scholarship are Jgeth Bautista, George Washington High School; Trisha Canlas, George Washington High School; Jacky Chen, John F. Kennedy High School; Angelica Mae Losing, John F. Kennedy High School; Jacquelyn Cabusi, Okkodo High School; Angel Ann Orlino, Okkodo High School; Crystallan Marie Bunoan, Simon Sanchez High School; Sydney Espinueva, Simon Sanchez High School; Aurienne Cruz, Southern High School; Amista Mariana Lujan, Southern High School; Keanu Ray Masga, Tiyan High School; and Rhozzenda Valdez, Tiyan High School.
