2 arrested in alleged prison contraband scheme (copy)

The Guam Police Department has arrested two people in an alleged prison contraband scheme.

GPD's Special Investigation Section arrested Davina Rae Aguon, 31, and Francisco Pangelinan Garrido Jr., 55, as part of an ongoing prison contraband investigation.

Aguon was arrested for the following offenses:

• Promoting Major Prison Contraband

• Conspiracy

• Criminal Facilitation

• Illegal Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance

• Illegal Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance With the Intent to Deliver - Unlawful Influence

• Giving Gratuities and

• Obstruction of Government Functions

SIS Agents arrested Garrido for the following offenses:

• Conspiracy

• Promoting Major Prison Contraband

• Criminal Facilitation

• Illegal Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance

• Illegal Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver and

• Obstruction of Government Functions

Both Davina Aguon and Franciso Garrido were subsequently booked and confined at the Department of Corrections. This case has been forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General for prosecution, the GPD press release stated.
