(ODMB) – Delegate Madeleine Z. Bordallo has announced the Department of the Interior awarded $409,123 in federal financial assistance to the Guam Historic Resources Division, also known as the State Historic Preservation Office.
This Historic Preservation Grant was awarded through the National Historic Preservation Fund, which is administered by the National Park Service of the Department of the Interior.
“The funds received today will help the Guam Historic Resources Division maintain and preserve our island’s historic properties,” Bordallo said.
“This grant will help to sustain and revitalize our local communities, and will help support the division’s work in promoting and preserving Guam’s cultures and heritage for future generations. This grant demonstrates the federal government’s continued investment in local preservation efforts, and I look forward to the implementation of these funds on Guam.”
