The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense, in coordination with the Guam Fire Department Emergency Medical Services Training Division, are hosting the following as part of the National Preparedness Month initiative:
• Free community First Aid/CPR awareness: 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., Sept. 11. This is an awareness-level class.
• First Aid, CPR training: 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Sept. 20. The course is $42 per person and is intended to provide attendees an understanding of first aid in order to help those in need. Attendees will learn how to respond to specific situations, which will help care for people in crisis as they wait for medical professionals to arrive.
