31 Guam Guard soldiers, airmen deployed to border duty in Arizona

DEPLOYED TO BORDER DUTY: Thirty-one soldiers and airmen from the Guam National Guard departed Tuesday morning to Yuma, Ariz., in support of Operation Guardian Support at the southwest border between the United States and Mexico. The Guard asks the public for their continued support of our soldiers, airmen and their families, said Guam Maj. Gen. Esther Aguigui, the adjutant general of the Guam National Guard. “We also have soldiers and airmen who are currently deployed or supporting missions around the world. Please keep them and their families in your thoughts and prayers now and for the duration of their deployment,” she said. Photo courtesy of Maj. Josephine Blas, Guam National Guard
