Jordan Michael Babauta, 28, was charged with theft by receiving as a second-degree felony and theft of services as a misdemeanor.

According to court documents, police responded to a vehicle theft reported in Yigo on June 26. The victim told police the car was taken from his residence to include items inside the car worth about $1,500.

On July 10, officers were called to a theft of services complaint in Ipan. An employee told police a man filled his vehicle with $90.01 in gas but drove off without paying, documents state. Police later found the suspect who had a car that was reported stolen last month. Babauta denied being at the Ipan gas station, documents state.
