A 47-year-old man was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm without a valid firearm identification card, and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, both as third-degree felonies.

On Dec. 1, police officers saw a black GMC Sierra in the parking lot by Tarzan Falls. The defendant was standing near the vehicle and wearing “what appeared to be hunting clothes," according to the magistrate’s complaint filed at the Superior Court of Guam.

When asked if there were any weapons in the vehicle, the defendant, Sean Cheguina Sanchez, said they were behind the chair. Police recovered a loaded black Colt AR15 rifle and a brown/beige Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun. The defendant admitted the firearms belonged to him, however, he didn't have a valid firearms ID with him, documents state.

Police also recovered four makeshift glass pipes containing suspected methamphetamine from the center console of the defendant’s vehicle. Sanchez denied owning the pipes.
