Guam Fire Department units responded to Route 1 near the former Yigo Amusement Park for a reported auto-pedestrian involving two men, reportedly in their mid-to late-20s.
The incident occurred about 7:20 p.m.
Upon medics' arrival, CPR had been initiated on one patient who was pulseless by military personnel enroute to AAFB, said GFD spokesperson Kevin Reilly.
The individual was pronounced dead at Guam Regional Medical City, according to GPD spokesperson Sgt. Paul Tapao.
The other patient was unconscious but was breathing, said Reilly.
Police were on the scene and interviewed a male driver of a jeep. A hat believed to belong to one of the two pedestrians was seen inches away from the back tire of the jeep.
GPD's Highway Patrol Division was activated to the scene and is currently investigating the fatality.
The man's death marks the 17th traffic related fatality this year to date.
