A man found dead in a car last week had died from asphyxia due to suffocation, according to Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Aurelio Espinola. Police identified the man as 38-year-old Otisus Lodge.

The man's body, discovered in a highly decomposed state, had been in the car for more than a week, Espinola said after conducting an autopsy yesterday.

Lodge was found March 8 by the man who owned the car. The vehicle's owner told police he had parked the car along Pancaso Palting Lane in Tamuning, hoping to sell it.

The death was ruled accidental by police.
