NASA to launch drones, map Guam's marine preserves

SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED: A team of NASA researchers assemble a drone for a flight demonstration Wednesday morning at the Tepungan Beach Park in Piti. The researchers will launch drones to study two shallow marine habitats – the Tumon Bay Marine Preserve and the Piti Bay Marine Preserve. They will use sensing technology to gather data that will be used to create 3D maps with a high level of accuracy, according to a press release from the governor's office.
