SEEN FROM SPACE: A NASA satellite captures the eruption of the underwater volcano Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai in Tonga. It was heard as far as Alaska starting around 3:30 a.m. local time – 6,000 miles from the volcano – due to a volcanic pressure wave, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
