Okkodo student receives Marine Corps JROTC award

CADET AWARD: Lt. Col. Anthony Mitchell presented Marine Corps JROTC Cadet Major Alexander R. Saber the Legion of Valor Bronze Star during a ceremony Wednesday in the Okkodo High School gym in Dededo. Cadets from four schools in the nation that have a Marine Corps JROTC program were chosen for the Legion of Valor for outstanding military leadership and academics this year, and Saber is one of them, according to Okkodo's JROTC program. There are 268 schools in the nation with the Marine Corps JROTC program and only one Marine Corps JROTC is on Guam. From left: Master Gunnery Sgt.
