Two people who were pulled over after the driver failed to stop at a stop sign were each arrested on drug charges.
Michael Ehmes, 24, also known as Herbert Emmis, is charged with possession of Schedule II controlled substance with intent to deliver as a first-degree felony.
Natchuo Ilai, 36, is charged with possession with intent to deliver a Schedule II controlled substance by complicity as a first-degree felony.
According to court documents, police pulled over the suspects in Dededo and noticed a glass pipe in the driver-side door.
The officer asked Ilai if the broken pipe belonged to him.
"Yes, I know. I need new one," Ilai said to the officer.
Authorities then noticed an open beer can that had spilled under the front passenger seat, documents state. Police found a wad of cash on Ehmes. As the cash was being counted, a baggie of what appeared to be methamphetamine fell from between the bills, documents state.
Ehmes told police it was meth that he had just bought for a friend for $20.
Ilai told officers that they were driving around the Astumbo area to "score something to smoke" and confirmed they bought the drugs, documents state.
