Sunshine Lions donate to Guam Diabetes Association

COMMUNITY HEALTH: The Guam Sunshine Lions Club donated $500 to the Guam Diabetes Association on Nov. 22 as part of the Lions Club International Foundation Diabetes Project. The club has also completed other service projects such as a donation of $500 on Nov. 1, to a 7-year-old boy afflicted with cancer, currently receiving off-island medical treatment; a $1,000 donation on Nov. 17 to the Lions Club International Foundation Disaster Relief Fund; a $1,000 donation on Oct. 22 to the Archdiocese of Agana's Ministry for the Homeless; and over 150 pairs of used glasses sent for recycling. The club, in its efforts to help the needy, strives to fulfill service projects on an annual basis along with our ongoing signature project of “Caring for the Sick and the Elderly."
