Thousands of sailors, Marines visit Guam

SHIP VISIT: Sailors assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer raise the American flag on the fantail after the ship moored at Naval Base Guam on Oct. 30. The Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit are deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to support regional stability, reassure partners and allies, and maintain a presence to respond to any crisis ranging from humanitarian assistance to contingency operations. Close to 4,000 sailors and Marines from the USS Boxer and other Navy ships that are part of the Amphibious Ready Group were able to visit Guam over the weekend.
