There were several water outages over the weekend, but none were expected to last until today, which means schools won't be affected.
The most recent outage, due to a break in a main waterline, meant residents in areas of Barrigada were without water for three to four hours on Sunday.
On Saturday, residents in Santa Rita, Asan, Sinajana and Agana Heights had to deal with no water for most of the day and into the evening. The Guam Waterworks Authority had to replace the pump and motor for the Agana Heights water well.
The well, which feeds water to Agana Heights and Sinajana, had gone down sometime last week, which meant low to no water pressure for residences and businesses in the area.
Another crew also was working to restore water in Asan, which also had an emergency water outage Saturday. GWA expected the work to be completed and water service restored to the three villages by 8 p.m. Saturday.
Shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday, GWA announced another outage. Crews were working on a main waterline break in Santa Rita. The anticipated restoration in Santa Rita was midnight, according to GWA officials.
