For the second time in less than a week, the University of Guam women’s soccer team added one of the island’s best female athletes.

Brianne Leon Guerrero, who led the Notre Dame High School Royals to four consecutive Independent Interscholastic Athletic Association of Guam championships, is now a Triton.

By signing with UOG, the multisport athlete received a partial tuition scholarship and will suit up for the 2019-2020 season, according to a news release.

In high school, Leon Guerrero won three championship game soccer MVPs and was twice voted league MVP.

Leon Guerrero also helped the Royals to two consecutive IIAAG girls volleyball championships. The high-flying Royal, in her first rugby season, led the blue-and-white to the championship in 2019.
