Guam no match for Jordan in Davis Cup

For the second time in two days, the Guam Men’s National Tennis Team was swept in their 2019 Davis Cup match in Amman Jordan.

On Friday night, Team Guam lost their Group IV Asia/Oceania Davis Cup by Rakuten match to Jordan, 3-0.

In the first rubber giants Jordan, Guam’s Derek Okuhama lost to Abedallah Shelbayh, 6-1, 6-2.

Guam’s Camden Camacho, unable to get traction in the second singles match, lost to Mousa Alkotop, 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles action, Guam’s Joshua Cepeda and Chris Cajigan lost to Seif Adas and Mohammed Al-Aisowi, 6-3, 6-4.

With no chance of promotion to Group III in 2020, Guam will play Bahrain in the 11th place playoff on Saturday.
