The Guam Community College Foundation and First Hawaiian Bank encourage island runners, students and anyone who wants to exercise to run for scholarships at the 6th annual John K. Lee Jr. 5K Run/Walk on Nov. 10 at the Chamorro Village in Hagåtña. Proceeds from this 5K directly benefit GCC students in the form of multiple scholarships in honor of the late John K. Lee Jr., former First Hawaiian Bank Guam and CNMI senior vice president/region supervisor and GCC Foundation board member.
Race day check-in time is 5 a.m. and race start time is 6 a.m.
Participants can register at Hornet Sporting Goods in Tamuning from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 9. First Hawaiian Bank will also accept registrations at these FHB locations on the following days:
Maite: Thursday, Nov. 8, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m and 3 to 6 p.m.
Dededo: Thursday, Nov. 8, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m and 3 to 6 p.m.
Tamuning: Friday, Nov. 9, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Entry fees are as follows: $5 for youth, juniors and GCC students; $10 for adults (race day $15); $35 for a group of four (race day $45).
Refreshments, entertainment and prizes are all part of this event. The first 300 finishers will receive a free T-shirt, and the grand raffle prize is one United Airlines roundtrip economy ticket for travel between Guam and Micronesia, Japan, Hong Kong or Manila.
