Trailing for 37 minutes, the Tritons found fresh legs to take their first lead of the game 88-87 in their quarterfinal matchup against Team Wu-Tang in the Triton Men's Basketball League Sunday at the University of Guam Calvo Field House. Clutching to that lead, the Tritons closed out for the 97-92 win to advance to the semis against the KFC Bombers.

Team Wu Tang locked in the first couple quarters, leading by as much as 14 points in the first lead. Midway through the fourth, the Tritons went on an 8-0 run to take their first lead of the game. Tight defense kept Wu Tang from getting back into he game.

Michael Quan led UOG with 41 points with teammate Logan Hopkins added 22 in the win. Julian Stewart led Wu-Tang with 36 points in the loss.

The Tritons are now 5-6 on the season faced the top-seeded KFC Bombers Monday evening. The Bombers are 10-0 and have beaten the Tritons twice doing the regular season.

Four Stars 101, FSAG All Stars 86

Relying heavily on a full bench, the Four Stars avoided elimination, downing the FSAG All-stars in a double-digit win.

With FSAG only fielding five players, Four Stars relied heavily on a full rotation in the second half to pull away. They broke open the game, outscoring FSAG 36-18 in the third period to close the doors on any hopes of a comeback.

Billy Belger led a balanced Four Stars attack with 23 points, while Aiashy Action added 14 points. Karl Melencio scored 30 points for the FSAG All-stars.

The Four Stars are now 5-6 on the season and faced second-seed Team Gatorade (8-2) Monday evening. The FSAG All-Stars finished 1-10 in the league.

The TMBL Championship is set for 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday night in the UOG Calvo Field House. The championship will be shown live on PBS Guam Channel 12 or PBS Guam YouTube Channel.
